The tournament is played at the Mhalunge-Balewadi Tennis Complex in Pune
This is a unique Challenger Tournament where the organizers provide full hospitality and world-class facilities in terms of courts, training arenas, and accommodation. The tournament has strategic importance as the winner can make it to the main draw of the Australian Open.Over the last five years, winners of KPIT MSLTA Challenger have moved into the top 100 club.
One of the key objectives of the tournament is also tournament to promote tennis in Pune and Maharashtra and numerous activities ar conducted on its sidelines e.g., clinics for coaches from across the state, medical insurance packages for coaches, tennis clinics for enthusiasts, tennis kit distribution in schools, senior and junior tournaments
