KEY PEOPLE OF KPIT MSLTA CHALLENGER TENNIS TOURNAMENT

Mr. Kishor Patil KPIT Co-founder, MD, and CEO stated “Our aim is to promote Indian tennis players and give at least 10 -15 Indian players an opportunity to take a shot at garnering important ATP points. The idea is to have a platform for Indian players to get exposure and compete with international players.”

KPIT Technologies Ltd has been the ‘Title’ sponsor for this Challenger tournament since its inception in 2014 and Mr. Kishor Patil KPIT Co-Founder, MD, and CEO, is an avid tennis player, and an enthusiast who had made a formal commitment of over 3 years towards supporting the tournament in 2014 and he continues to support this tournament. This tournament has become one of the most coveted Challenger tournaments in India.
As the chairman, Mr. Kishor Patil KPIT CEO is hands-on and personally oversees the organization activities. He is present for all the matches and interacts with all the players, staff, and organizing teams.

MSLTA (Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association) mobilizes its resources and a large team to organize this tournament, starting from coordinating with ATP and all the players, to organizing ground staff like referees, ball boys, press interactions and all the tennis infrastructure.
Mr. Sunder Iyer, Hon Sec of MSLTA is the Tournament Director, he has been instrumental in organizing this tournament and ensuring its continuity year after year. He believes that the KPIT MSLTA Challenger has become popular worldwide, higher ranking and better players are participating regularly, making the event stronger every year. The consistency of the KPIT MSLTA ATP Challenger has received accolades from ATP .

As the Head of Operations, Mr. Kaustubh Shah is responsible for the smooth execution of the tournament. He leads a team of 150 volunteers, staff, suppliers, and freelancers that ensure that all ATP Guidelines are followed 100%, players have the correct support and are comfortable, the entire infrastructure like IT, Branding, Stadium, crowd management systems, security etc is up, and runs smoothly across the 2 weeks of the Tournament. He interacts constantly with the ATP Supervisors and team to ensure all ATP guidelines and strictly followed.
A tennis player himself, he is very passionate about the sport and is also a part of the PMDTA where he plays a key role in bringing tennis to the youth in Pune and Maharashtra
Mr. Shah has been with the KPIT Challenger Tournament since its 3rd edition and believes that it is now one of the most sought-after Challenger tournaments today.
